1. Joining Heights Club

Joining the waiting list or attending an enquiry session does not guarantee a place. A place is only confirmed when Heights Club has offered a suitable class and accepted the required registration.

Where the gymnast is under 18, the parent or guardian completing the registration is responsible for the agreement with Heights Club and for keeping the information supplied to us accurate and up to date.

Every participating gymnast must be registered on the club’s Class Manager system and hold the appropriate British Gymnastics membership and insurance. These requirements are separate from each other and from Heights Club class fees.

2. Trials, fees and payment

  • Trial sessions must be agreed with the club in advance and are charged at the normal session rate.
  • Ongoing class fees are invoiced for the term through Class Manager and must be paid by the date and method shown on the invoice.
  • Heights Club does not currently offer sibling discounts.
  • Any additional costs, such as British Gymnastics membership, competition entries, clothing, badges or certificates, are separate unless we state otherwise.

If fees remain unpaid, we may pause participation or withdraw a place after making reasonable efforts to contact the account holder. Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under consumer law.

3. Attendance, cancellation and changes

Term fees include gymnast absences. We do not normally provide refunds, credits or make-up sessions when a gymnast misses a class.

If Heights Club cancels a class, we may arrange a make-up session. If no make-up session is arranged, the affected class will be credited. We may also make reasonable changes to coaches, class times, venues or the programme when necessary for safety, staffing, venue availability or the effective running of the club. We will give as much notice as reasonably possible.

Please contact the club if you wish to leave or change class. Any notice period or balance due will be the one communicated in your current registration, invoice or membership information.

4. Safety, health and conduct

  • Gymnasts must follow coach instructions, safety rules and the applicable codes of conduct.
  • Parents and guardians must provide accurate emergency, medical, disability and additional-needs information and tell us promptly if it changes.
  • Gymnasts must wear suitable clothing, tie back long hair and remove jewellery as directed.
  • Parents and carers must not enter the sports hall courts unless a coach has agreed this.
  • Photography and video may only be taken or shared when the relevant permission is in place and club instructions are followed.

Participation in gymnastics and trampoline activity carries an inherent risk of injury even when coaching and safety procedures are followed. Coaches may adapt or stop participation where they reasonably believe this is needed for safety.

5. Behaviour and ending participation

We expect gymnasts, parents, carers, coaches, volunteers and visitors to behave respectfully and to follow the club’s handbook and codes of conduct. We may suspend or end participation where there is a serious or repeated safety, conduct or payment concern. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond. Safeguarding action may be taken immediately where necessary.

6. Website use

The website provides general information about Heights Club. We aim to keep it accurate and available, but timetables, fees, availability and other details may change. Current information supplied directly by the club takes priority where it differs from an older website page.

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding and original materials belong to Heights Club Ltd. They may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Links and embedded services provided by third parties are governed by those providers’ own terms, and Heights Club is not responsible for their availability or content.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, Heights Club is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made or for business losses arising from personal use of the club or website.

8. Privacy

We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes information needed to administer membership, keep participants safe, communicate about club business, collect fees and arrange competitions.

9. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms when club services, legal requirements or working practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes affecting current members will be communicated where appropriate.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@heightsclub.co.uk.
